About Us

Who we are

Kosi region agricultural landscape

We’re a small team trying to find new ways to make an honest living.

We come from a place where the horizon is mostly fields — some resting, most growing. Life here has always been shaped by the land, by seasons, and by the river that runs through it all.

Sitting along the banks of the Kosi, we realised something simple:

the river isn’t sorrow — it’s a blessing.

It nourishes the soil, feeds the farms, and quietly sustains livelihoods.

So we asked ourselves:

Why not start here?

Why not take what our farms grow—like nutrient-packed makhana and vibrant turmeric—and make it available to you and your family?

What we do

We partner with small farms and pilot plots to grow and deliver everyday food closer to its natural state.

Not mass-produced.

Not rushed.

Always connected to its roots.

How we do it

Through hands-on experiments on limited acreage—no big risks for farmers.

We focus on soil health, crop choice, input use, and harvest timing—and how each decision affects yield and income.

When chemicals are used, we pay attention to dosage, timing, and waiting periods.

We document what works, learn from what doesn't, and refine season by season.

What we are trying to build

We are trying to reimagine agricultural practices in our region.

That means reducing unnecessary pesticide use, moving beyond rice–wheat monocropping, and encouraging more sustainable crop choices — ones that nourish the soil and improve farm incomes.

It also means promoting simple on-farm primary processing, such as blanching and storing turmeric instead of selling it raw — so value stays closer to the farm.

We don't have everything figured out.

What we do have is curiosity — and the willingness to learn, even if it means getting some things wrong before we get them right.

This is our beginning.
